Young Professionals Program

TAPPI Young Professionals program at PaperCon 2012 will include networking opportunities, education, and professional connections for young professionals in the pulp and paper industry.

The Young Professionals Committee consists of "soon-to-be" college graduates, recent graduates, young professionals in the industry - as well as accomplished professionals that want to build connections and provide networks for TAPPI members. Its purpose is to encourage younger individuals to get involved and advance the industry by building from fresh, creative, and driven minds. Students Welcome at PaperCon
PaperCon 2012 is gearing up for another successful conference and we welcome students to attend! The Young Professionals program, Poster Session and social events where students can network with leaders from all around the pulp and paper industry make this conference a can't miss opportunity for future papermakers!

Travel Stipends
To help defer travel costs for students attending PaperCon 2012, TAPPI is offering a stipend to each TAPPI Student Chapter sending three or more students. In addition to the stipend, all students will receive a highly discounted conference registration rate including tickets for the receptions, access to the exhibit show floor, complimentary lunches, copies of the conference proceedings and other event materials, and access to some of the most important people in the paper and pulp industry.

In return, students will be expected to serve as session monitors during the conference. This is a great way for students to get involved at the conference, network with renowned speakers and TAPPI Chairmen, and still attend all the technical sessions they wish.
