TAPPI Stickies Workshop

Who should attend: This workshop is appropriate for engineers, scientists and technicians who want to a better understanding of stickies and related issues. Those working in recycling mills, using recycled pulp or supplying equipment, chemicals or recovered paper to recycled mill mills will greatly benefit from attending.
What you'll learn:
- Origin and properties of stickies
- Problems caused by stickies
- Types of stickies (macrostickies, microstickies, colloidal, dissolved, primary, secondary, ect.)
- Methods to measure concentration of stickies
- Strategies to remove, pacify and control stickies
How you can use this knowledge:
- Distinguish between macrostickies, microstickies, primary and secondary stickies
- Select and develop a method to measure the concentration of stickies
- Format strategies to combat stickies
Each attendee will receive a reference binder of the workshop materials.
