What sessions can I attend?
The PaperCon program is open; registrants may attend any session at any time, regardless of the topic area.
Are there any discount registrations available?
Yes. Members of TAPPI, Conference Co-Sponsor organizations and retirees receive discounted registration rates. In addition, if three or more co-workers from the same company register together, a group discount is available. Finally, if you work for a pulp and paper company mill or corporate location, your location can pay one flat fee allowing an unlimited number of people to attend PaperCon!
Must I register for the conference to attend committee meetings?
No. Committee meetings are open -- anyone may attend unless indicated “by invitation only”. TAPPI Committee meetings are an excellent way to meet colleagues and network in your area of expertise.
How do I best reach my customers at PaperCon?
PaperCon includes numerous opportunities to facilitate networking, such as lunches, coffee hours and receptions. In addition the conference trade fair allows you to formally display your company and products/services to the industry. All hospitality receptions and lunches are in the trade fair area. There is also a New Technology Showcase where you have the opportunity to present a short (8-minute) commercial presentation to attendees. It is recommended that you promote your company’s presence at PaperCon in advance to maximize the number of contacts you make.
When are the exhibits open?
The PaperCon 2012 will have two exhibit areas. Both exhibit areas are open for hospitality receptions Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings and during lunch on Monday and Tuesday. The exhibit area is closed during the sessions and coffee breaks, allowing exhibitors to both attend the sessions and staff their booth without sending additional personnel to the conference.
Do some sessions require an extra charge?
No, access to all sessions and the trade fair are included in your registration, but some preconference workshops, courses and social activities require an additional fee.
