PaperCon 2012: “Growing the Future”

Designed by industry professionals, PaperCon brings together CEOs, mill managers, superintendents, scientists, process engineers and suppliers for the largest pulp and paper technical program in the world. No other event provides such a comprehensive program, networking opportunities and major trade fair among such a distinguished group of industry leaders.

For 2012, PaperCon is about “Growing the Future”; leveraging renewable, recyclable raw materials and developing human capital to ensure value for customers, long-term sustainability for shareholders, and a future for our peers. Located in the heart of the Southern USA pulp and papermaking region, New Orleans, PaperCon sessions will highlight today’s dynamic packaging sector.

PaperCon’s core program includes three primary tracks:

PIMA Management Track provides evocative speakers and panel discussions on management challenges and solutions. The highly regarded CEO Panel presents how the industry’s premiere companies are addressing today’s most pressing matters.

Papermakers Track provides peer-reviewed technical sessions to address how leading companies are achieving operational excellence. Invited speakers and peer-reviewed papers address stock prep, forming, dewatering and drying challenges in addition to wet end chemistry innovations.

Coating and Graphic Arts Track addresses market trends in printing and graphics, as well as peer-reviewed technical papers on coating structure, rheology and coater runnability, and bio-based renewable coating raw materials.

As a bonus, two additional conferences have added their technical programs to PaperCon in 2012:

Control Systems 2012 – the highly respected bi-annual gathering of global process control experts explores the emerging technologies and innovations which are improving the papermaking around the world.

RPTA P-T Seminar – The annual meeting for the Recycled Paperboard Manufactures Association covers technical innovations and changes in the regulatory landscape for packaging.

PaperCon 2012 will again feature a Sustainability Forum. This single day program explores the science behind sustainability, focusing on the technical aspects including interpretations of existing and proposed standards and certifications. Perfect for Sustainability/Environmental Corporate Managers, Merchants, Buyers, Technical Marketers, Business Development Managers, and Product Managers.
